After getting home neither of us really felt like cooking something for dinner. Plastic found in a dinner entree. Really inspired by your story — thanks for sharing! Hey Marilyn, it's great to hear from you that you're off to such a great start. I want an apology and someone to tell me what he did was wrong! Guidelines - Read this before posting.
3123 Nutrisystem Consumer Reviews and Complaints
The most important thing for me is that it is working. On the road to lose 80 lbs. I've lost 28 after only 6 weeks. The food is not fine dining but it is good enough and with enough variety to not be boring.
Some of the food is quite tasty and others only rate around good but, for me, that is not the point. The point is that now most of the time I am not hungry and I am losing weight without having to make major alterations to my life. Surely, there are times when I just want to get a pizza delivered and munch out but Nutrisystem provides ways to deal with that. I'm not going to blow smoke, some self-control will be required. The few times I have some real cravings, I just pull up the weight chart and see that nice downward trend of weight and remind myself why I am doing this.
The quick start program, for me, was the most difficult portion to get through but it surely did as it described. My weight loss started quickly and tapered a bit, as expected, once I got on the regular weekly plan. I am still losing around 3 to 4 lbs a week which might be a little atypical but I'm not complaining. This meal plan was exactly what I needed. Previously I ate healthy but I just ate too much. Comparing then to now, I realized I was eating roughly double what I should have been.
So not only has this plan allowed me to lose weight but it has provided me with an idea of what meal sizes should be if I ever decide to stop with Nutrisystem. I personally think the frozen meals are a very good add-on as they provide more variety and tend to be a bit more tasty and satisfying. I really do appreciate that this program exists. I just turned 50 not too long ago and was starting to have more concerns about my weight which has always been above 'normal'.
Nutrisystem not only seems to be dealing with my weight but it also helped me ease my mind about my future health.
I'm also a workaholic which means that previous diets I tried had, what I feel was, a significant impact on my lifestyle. Which is probably the main reason they all failed. Nutrisystem is very simple. Take their base plan, modify the meal times to fit your current schedule, keep the intervals between meals roughly the same, and in no time it just becomes part of your day.
The food for the most part is portable as well which is rather convenient. Again, Thank You for providing this product. Before I was skeptical about ever seeing what I consider a healthy weight but this product and changed that skepticism into hope and has provided exactly what the proverbial doctor ordered.
Plastic found in a dinner entree. It was very nice to see! I can't remember when this happened, maybe weeks ago. I thought the response took longer than it should have. Really tho', I've had great customer service every time I needed them.
Wait times when phoning are awful. I am very happy with the 30 pounds that I have lost. I love your food and do not want to totally stop my program. I am working with adjusting to everyday food lifestyle. But yet, I do not want to give up my program. I believe this will keep me on track with keeping my weight under control. Thank you for my delays in my order. I tried Nutrisystem and found out I am allergic. I tried returning the items as they indicated there was a full refund policy, and they told me I couldn't.
I called over seven times during the next 30 days and they were not cooperative or helpful at all. I got transferred around many times, and never had any help at all. I ended up moving, and canceled my card. Two months after that they tried charging my credit card and claim they shipped product, which I didn't order.
I never received product because I had moved. Very poor customer service! They try and snag you in and force you to keep buying, even if you don't like the product and even if you are allergic to it! I have told a lot of people about this horrifying experience and they are all appalled and said there are much better programs out there!
We are sorry to hear that you are unable to eat our food and we apologize for the poor service you've received. We will be looking into this and reaching out soon. I have spoken with Chanta in her role as counselor. I was impressed with the interest and patience she posses. I am now able to form a more comprehensive plan moving forward with my required personal participation with the Nutrisystem to reach my weight loss goal.
I am enthusiastically encouraged with my decision to take on this venture for my future. We are so happy to hear that Chanta was able to help you gain a better understanding of the program! For more information about reviews on ConsumerAffairs. My NuMi bottle issue was already taken care of. He therefore missed the window to order the bottle in time for the 2nd month shipment.
We would like to have it delivered with the order that is coming up for the 3rd month - we get auto delivery, so it is already set up. We are happy to hear that your water bottle issue has been handled but are sad to hear that your husband is still having issues.
We will be assigning this to a member of the Consumer Experience Team who will be reaching out soon. I am very disappointed with the food. Most of it tastes the same to me and actually upsets my stomach. I did not realize I only had two weeks to cancel and much of that was mostly drinks.
Then you keep trying different food thinking something will be edible. I know there is plenty of fine print in contracts that should be read. I do not recall being verbally told about these conditions. This was a lesson that left a very bad taste in my mouth. We are sorry that the foods upset your stomach and that you were unaware of the auto-delivery nature of the program. Not clear when I ordered that it would be on automatic order.
Food is not good, not good instructions, dinners were bland. Too many entrees with spicy tomato sauce and cheese, dinners are bland. Shakes made me sick. Emails were only to sell more.
Thank you for writing this review. We are sad to hear the foods were not to your liking and that the deliveries would be automatic. We will be looking into your account and reaching out soon. This is a follow-up to the review I posted on September 5. Soon after I posted my first review, a rep from Nutrisystem contacted me via email. The email was courteous, professional, and apologetic for the experience I had. The rep went on to offer replacement of the damaged food items I had received and encouraged me to give their company another try.
In light of this swift response and their sincere desire to ensure that I was happy with their product and service, I am revising my review. I accepted a ready-made menu that containing some items that I did not enjoy. In the future, I will make a point to select food items that I now know to be more to my liking than others.
I am very pleased and heartened by Nutrisystem's timely reply and concern for my purchase. They deserve a second chance.
I ordered my month's supply of diet food from Nutrisystem with high hopes. When the food shipment arrived, most of the frozen breakfast items were broken into small bits; when I opened the packages, the bits fell out.
Then I tried the frozen lunches. Since I take these to work, the only heating option is microwave. Anything with bread or chicken comes out chewy, gooey, and icy cold in the center.
It actually made me gag and lose my appetite, which wasn't the diet plan I expected. I am very careful when reading agreements, and for this item to be overlooked was no easy feat.
Fineprint at the end will do that to you. To add insult to injury, the obnoxious customer service person on the phone refused to accept my cancellation until she badgered me with questions and hard sell tactics in a desperate attempt to keep me buying their awful food.
Overall, this was a horrible experience. I will never use or recommend Nutrisystem again. We are so sorry to hear about your poor experience with the delivery of your foods, the food itself, and the representative you dealt with. We will be taking a peek at your account and reaching out soon. Was not satisfied with the taste of most of the foods, had to throw it away and buy something else, and most of the desserts had an ok flavor, And a lot of meals with cheese.
I was not happy with that. My first order included items I didn't order and one that I'm allergic to its ingredients. I was told by one person the items were probably substitutions and when ready they would be replaced. When I called the customer service lady was very rude, basically stated I was lying and wouldn't allow me to speak to a supervisor. I'm very disappointed with the service I receive so I will take my business to a place that has better customer service.
Went thru a few months of products. Following it closely and exercised Sent email to customer support and I was told to think of it as not wasted but I received nutritional food with fiber Now I know why it only got one star. Weight loss system worksstale product and no one to answer to except counselors with no control. I definitely lost weight and it was probably the easiest way for me to lose weight but it came out to be way too expensive for the fact that I started skipping some of the meals I ordered when I wanted other foods in my house that wasn't nutrisystem.
Sometimes I do think about going back to it but then I just realize I could save so much money by going to the grocery store and just basically buying lean cuisines and my own snacks.
If you do chose nutrisystem, I would recommend the most expensive plan because their options for the cheaper plan are mostly the not-so-tasty ones. You can read reviews for each item to decide which ones are the good ones if you chose to pick out each item.
It was also kinda nice because all the frozen ones tasted x better than the room-temp-stored ones and there was no limit to how many frozen meals you chose instead. I think it might be worth trying it out for months if you can afford it. Also if you don't mind eating their food literally everyday with their name brand all over the boxes.
The real drawbacks are cost, eating packaged foods for every meal, and lack of a variety after a few months. I honestly felt guilty quitting but I remember just being absolutely sick of the food by the end. Thanks so much for all of this!
I ordered the middle core plan, so its a mix of the types of foods. I'm not planning to do it long term, just hoping to use it for months to get a bit of a boost to my weight loss. I really do hope to go back to cooking my own meals after I lose a little bit. I'm doing it now too. Way too expensive, but I've gone from to pounds in 2 months! The Turbo Takeoff really helped. Lost the initial 10lbs with that.
My first shipment should be coming in on Tuesday! You have to eat 4 cups of raw or 2 cups cooked veggies a day. Mix in whenever you want. This way you'll never be hungry. I got so tired of veggies, but I'm not a creative cook LOL. Track your food with the book they give you. They say to eat a powerful with breakfast, between breakfast and lunch, etc. They'll give you a plan book with the easy instructions for this. Ummm, no excercise the first week. When you begin to, no more than 45mins 3x a day My weight loss counselor-you'll get one too- told me that.
Excercise only 2 hrs after eating Never on an empty stomach You won't burn calories as effectively otherwise. They're shakes and Nutricrush bars are delish! Pizza's taste MUCH better cooked in a toaster oven. They're hard and chewy if you microwave. Everything cooks in minutes. Some even cook in less than 60 seconds.
There are low sodium options if you tell them that's something you care about. Try to call your counselor once. It's free and they'll help you with any struggles. They even give you a book with restaurant meals. The book tells you how many Smart Carbs, Power Fuels, etc the meals count for. You get a flex day where you can make your own food.
You'll just need to make sure you follow what the book says can be eaten how many pfs, scs, etc. I split my weekly meals into 7 bags frozen stuff obviously stays in freezer until day of and just take one to work daily. It contains all 4 meals of the day and I eat dinner and my nutri snack so many good ones! Stop eating hrs before bed. Drink 64 oz of water a day. In a year you would have lost 50 lbs. Just because you don't see a big drop as you can't exercise at the start, sticking with it will make a huge difference.
This was a success story waiting to be written. Try the pick your own food plan which is currently It's not so much when it works and saves you so much time and you won't be going out to eat, stopping at a drive through out of laziness to cook or ordering in food that is very costly. So far I'm very pleased with the plan and considering ordering it to take to the ski hill with me in the winter where staff accommodation rooms mean a shared fridge and stove which can be difficult to get access and space in.
This would be so nice to keep in a closet! Just need my veggies and fruits in a fridge. I started Nutrisystem from Walmart one week before having foot surgery. I'm about 25lbs overweight and I want to lose some weight and keep myself from gaining any while I recuperate. The food is fine and fills me up since all I do is sit on my butt all day. I drink a lot of herbal tea and water also. I'm a nurse and also 64 years old so I know if I were just sit around and pig out I would end up fatter, depressed and constipated lol.
The food is very doable and full of fiber to help me go. I will not be able to drive for 3months. It is totally up to me to do this right. I know I can and NS I believe will help me do this. Hey Wilson, I get your point. Hey Alan, good counterpoints. The bottom line is Alan's last paragraph and I can't agree more.
In response to Wilson's comment, let's really clear something up. Most Americans spend more per day on feeding their ever expanding bodies with too much junk and additive laden convenience foods. When you're trying to lose weight, you don't buy liquids to drink.
You drink water from your tap because its the best thing to drink. Anything else that comes from the store is packed full of sugar and is just money down the drain and inches on your waist.
Yeah, the meals are small. You're on a freakin' diet and teaching your body to get used to eating smaller meals for heaven's sake! Losing weight is not just about calories. Just read any of the latest articles on news sites and the top diet experts now tell you not all calories are equal.
Its the SUGAR and HFCS you need to eliminate from your diet, Then artificial additives, pesticides which you'll find in most non-organic store food , phyto-estrogens non-organic dairy, meat, grains high GI carbs bread, pasta, cookies, cakes, candy etc The food industry is a scary place.
OK, Nutrisystem is not the perfect diet, by any stretch of the imagination, I'll grant you. But it's a good way to get started for many folks that don't want to go counting calories or see a dietitian. Their small, nutritionally balanced meals teach your body to get used to eating smaller meals and to stop eating junk.
The next step is up to the individual to carry that on once the finish the diet. By watching what they eat and drink—and reading the labels on all food produce they buy to avoid the worst offending ingredients.
I agree you can lose weight without doing any commercial diet program. Common sense is a pretty powerful thing when it's used. A person's body is their responsibility and if they gain weight, its up to them to actively work of getting back in shape. No one else can do that for you!
Let's clear up a couple of things and make them perfectly clear: Second, the "meals" are microscopic. Go to any nutrition or calorie count site and plug in Nutrisystem Meals. When the calories in a meal are in the — range, you're not going to have to chew very long to devour the whole thing. Cut your calories to per day. If you can read and if you can add, then it' simple to do and it's a helleva lot cheaper than Nutrisystem or any other diet program.
I actually like the food. Before NS, I would just have a coffee, ladled with creamer for breakfast, eat a nice oversized lunch and probably not eat dinner, but sometimes snack on chips, pretzels, cereal, whatever, while watching TV. This is teaching me to eat small portions throughout the day. I have always worked really hard to try to be thin, but, have gained 10 lbs over the past few months that will NOT come off.
So, I'm using this as a kick-starter to making smarter choices. I look at our metabolism as a fire burning. If you put one big log on a fire that is almost burned out, it will choke it out; however, if you put kindling, or a few small twigs on it, it will build it back up. Think of your metabolism in the same way.
If you eat smaller meals, more frequently, you are feeding your metabolism, but those big meals that restaurants serve and we, in turn, create, at home , those meals will completely stifle your metabolism and leave you feeing tired and lethargic. Keep up the great work everyone. Hey Nellie, good question. As long as you keep eating small portions, keep your daily calorie count to the same as while you're on the diet and do not return to old bad eating habits like eating junk food or foods high in sugar, drinking soda etc you should not gain weight.
This diet is not just made to make you lose weight, it's designed to teach your body to get used to eating less and to teach your brain to be aware of what you're eating all the time — even when you're not dieting. Bottom line is it's all on you from start to finish whether or not you lose weight and keep it off. Only you can choose what you eat and drink. Choose wisely and you'll surprise yourself in a nice way! Hey Candie, it's great to hear you're doing really well—32lbs in 2 months is awesome!
And that you like the diet and you're fired up to maintain it to lose even more is really inspiring. Come back and give us an update sometime soon, please! Had a very serious health issue and in ICU for 5 days.
EVERY physician gave me the same comment—loose weight. I have been on many programs before with little success. Was up late one night and saw Marie O who looked super—so this fat boomer decided to give the program a try.
Have been on program for about 2 months or so. Down from to today. I love the food—of course have some faves, but it works for me and hopefully will continue to on my road to loose another 50 pounds. Hopefully I won't look like a prune but I will certainly be healthier!
Hi Kavitha, thank you for your inquiry. This diet program only ships to United States addresses at present. I'm sorry it is not available internationally but I believe the additional shipping costs would make it very expensive and therefore not attractive to dieters in other countries around the world.
If I may offer some advice: I know that it can take some will power to follow a stricter eating regime, but when you firmly decide for yourself that you will do it because you want to do it, you can surprise yourself at what you are capable of!
I live in Kuwait. How do I get this product would like to know how much it cost to loose 20kg. Hey Marilyn, it's great to hear from you that you're off to such a great start. I agree that adding spices and herbs to the meals can improve the taste and tailor it to what you like to taste even! And yes, yes, yes My husband and I both started this diet, he needs to lose 40 pounds I need to lose ! Our first week he lost 12 pounds and I lost When hungry eat salad is what I tell my husband.
He gets more snacks than I do but this to me is a very easy diet to follow. We planted a garden and makes it more fun to grow your own salads! I think the trick is once you lose your weight to keep it off. But I hope we get to that problem! I talked my husband into doing the diet with me and to tell you the truth, I think it helps him to understand the struggle of sitting next to someone eating foods that you can't have when only one person is on a diet.
No matter what you do in life Hey Liz, Great to hear you're getting on with the diet so well, but gaining 7lbs in just over a week sure sounds strange.
My first thought is water retention, which if that's the case could be caused by a sudden change in diet and usually dissipates after several days. It can be caused by increased fiber from the food holding fluid in the digestive tract which is released soon enough as the body gets used to the additional fiber in the diet.
Although it sounds odd, the best way to deal with water retention is to drink MORE water—at least eight or more 8oz glasses per day throughout the day ie not all at once. It helps flush the system and helps with digestion too. If you don't start seeing a drop in weight after another week, my advice is to get in contact with a Nutrisystem counselor and talk it through with them. They have experts in-house that can help you, so DO make use if that service.
You're paying for it as part of the program, after all! Good luck with your progress and I hope things go real well for you. I can say I love it.. I'm on the Diabetic Plan. In the 4 days I've been on the plan I've gained 7 pounds. Please let me know whyyyyyyyyy I gained? Hey Beth, all comments are published, positive or negative as long as they are helpful in some way.
You're doing the right thing in talking to the counselor over any concerns—they're there to help after all! I'd add that you need to drink lots of water every day. Not just for this program, but for your health in any case, because it hydrates you and actually helps with healthy digestion and elimination as well as helping to normalize blood pressure. About 8oz glasses per day is about right. Good luck and best wishes with your diet for a successful and happy outcome! This will absolutely be a lifesaver for me!
I love all these comments and I will be coming back here to read more! I am on my first week of NS This is my 3rd day. I felt really tired yesterday and chatted to the counselor today who added a couple things for me. I have not cheated at all but my blood pressure is going up some now which has me worried.
I saw where the program is under mg Sodium per day which should be ok. I will be talking to them more if this continues to be a problem.
This program is helpful to me I am a comfort eater and eat with my computer or TV so I don't even think about how much I eat. This program thinks for me I am on the woman's basic vegetarian plan and have liked everything so far. I was sent some meat products accidentally in my first shipment but they corrected that quickly and I am being sent other products now.
The cost is high Way less expensive than medication, procedures, etc, if your health goes downhill! Thank you for this review and all of the comments that have followed. I am 85 pounds overweight and grieving the murder of my daughter has led me to 30 pounds of weight gain over the last 7 months. I am hopeful that NS will be the answer that I have been looking for to increase my energy, self control and self confidence.
Just started my 6th week of NS, 25 lbs. Now I plan to keep going for 2 more months until our anniversary Cancun vacation. NS has a program that allows me to pick and choose my favorites so I want to enjoy the food I like at smaller portions and learn to snack well.
Hopefully, I'll take better habits with me when I start buying replacement meals and home cooking with a newer portion-controlled mindset. Nutrisystem works for me. At times, I'm fully aware of my increased energy and motivation. Losing the desire to junk snack at night is a huge improvement. It is worth the money to spend a few months eating NS to lose weight and change my eating habits.
The good news is that I still go out times per week to our favorite bars and restaurants. Love a dirty martini, small appetizer, and seafood or salad combo much more than I did the fatty meals that were NOT worth the money! Hey Gail, don't feel discouraged—since Feb 15 its only just over 3 weeks and at the recommended rate of weight loss at 2lbs per week, you're actually right on track!
I know it's easy to get caught up in the big claims by some of the TV ad featured dieters of 30lbs or more, but the reality is those big numbers take several months to achieve in most cases. You could and should double that figure inside of two months if you stick with it and stay determined to succeed! I started the NS plan on February I haven't added veggies. I don't feel super deprived likely because of my few side trips but I can't help but feel that I should have lost more weight.
I should probably add that I am 48 and post menopausal — I do work out most days for min either a treadmill or Beach Body videos and I have three labradors who I walk most days they're not strollers!
Just feeling a little discouraged but I intend to finish out my second month. Hey RockyRose, it's great to hear you're enjoying the diet and having great success with it. In my experience, the people who always lost the most weight and kept it off are those that stuck stubbornly to their diet plan while politely but firmly ignoring any conflicting "advice" from friends or family.
Everyone naturally has an opinion and often its the wrong ones that derail people from their weight goals if they listen to and take them to heart.
It's always the plan that get results when you stick with it, not those opinions! I've been on Nutrisystem for about two weeks, I'm down ten pounds. I love the program and I love that I'm sticking to it. I think the food is really good, there are a few items that I don't like so I just don't order them. I hope I have good results with this program. I think the most important thing is making sure I stick to it. You should contact NS customer support for these kind of questions as they'll have the most accurate and correct answers rather than take someone else's opinion whether right or wrong.
Can you drink coffee on Nutrisystem? When starting with the Turbo shakes, is it strictly shakes for the first week or using shake as 1 or 2 meal replacements? Hey Lisa, thanks for the update. It's always real great to hear from you because you have such a great, positive attitude and you're proof that a can-do attitude brings success! Just wanted to give an update!
As for the meals, I think they taste great, all except 1 wasn't to my liking! I finished half of it and gave the rest to my unpicky dog!
You do have to add in vegetables but that is fine I feel fuller! I absolutely love the turbo shakes and the nutricrush shakes wish I could drink those all day long! Thanks for having this forum! And good luck to everyone! The Nutrisystem program i think is founded in good ideas. However i have a few complaints. The food is mostly bland and has no real flavor. While portioned well, i still felt like i was lacking something I work out about times a week including playing hockey and it left me hungry.
However the biggest and most annoying thing that really got on my nerves was after paying for the first month, i came to the determination that it was too expensive to continue. I'm sorry but that's completely absured! Yes i got a discounted price Which is the reason i would be charged but that's no excuse.
Thanks but no thanks. I'm very upset that they would treat their customers like this Additionally to cancel, i've been on hold And on the phone as i'm typing this waiting to talk to someone for nearly 30 minutes already Are they purposely trying to make it impossible for you to cancel?
Going back to Weight Watchers so i can eat food that tastes like food, and a system that I have had success with in the past. Hey guys, I get it you have differences of opinion and I'm a believer in everyone gets to say their piece. But unless you really have a genuine grievance with Nutrisystem itself, I don't want to read angry or hateful comments or arguments especially over what you see or don't see on TV. This is my site and while I let a lot of stuff go, I don't want it to turn into a free-for-all mud-throwing match.
Any future hateful or angry comments will get deleted. Hey John, congrats on losing 20 lbs by the way. That's the kinda thing I enjoy hearing about! Congrats to Nick S and Matt G too — that's some great going guys! Wow, Martin you're some kinda troll. If you see so much of Marie's face on the network, man you're watching too much TV! As for me, I'm glad Marie's still doing it for Nutrisystem. God bless her, because it really helped me lose the 20 pounds I needed to lose through my previously bad diet not sitting on my lazy fat butt all day watching TV.
I lost weight and reached a goal. Man, unlike that other guy I'm happy, positive and thankful I found something that worked for me! I have been very pleased with the food personalized my plan selections and the only negative was that I was very gassy and some pretty painful stomach pains for a couple days during my second week.
I did experience constipation for the first week and very well could have made a mistake by eating more meals with higher fiber content to combat this which may have created the stomach pain. I did take GasX which has solved the problem. My advice would be to stay strong, adhere to the plan and drink 8 to 10 16oz bottles of water per day. The results thus far have been amazing and I am well on my way to achieving my goals by the summer.
I've only done the first week and I've already dropped Now I'm a big guy, with a lot of weight to lose, but 13 pounds in one week? They only said I'd lose up to 10 the first month Hey Toni, I get where you're coming from and I say sure, go ahead and eat vegetables. They are super low in calories but high in nutrients that help the weight loss process.
That's as long as they are fresh eaten raw is even better and not out of a can or a packet! As to the hard boiled egg, I'm guessing if you ask Nutrisystem support you CAN and should , they'd say it's outside the plan.
But personally, I'm a great believer in natural foods are always better than junk. So if you're going to slip, it's better to do it with an egg instead of a pack of potato chips or a candy bar! I'm just beginning the Nutrisystem and I love it already. I'm currently on the 4th day of my Turbo 10 but I'm finding it a bit difficult. I had one major question that I couldn't find the answer to anywhere; I think I know what the answer is but I want to confirm it.
While doing the Turbo 10 can I have vegetables and protein when I'm getting hungry? I have been trying to stick whole-heartedly to the Turbo 10 but I have slipped up and had a hard boiled egg considered "powerfuel" and a half a cup of edamame vegetable. Please let me know what you think. I'd appreciate any advice. Hey Lynette, that's an amazing story, congrats! You're right, it's all about achieving the body size you are meant to be—and can be through getting into the simple habit of right eating and sufficient exercise each day.
Just reading these comments and had to put my 2 cents: Keep going girl, you already lost 5 pounds you can lose another 5 and more.
Just don't quit and do believe in yourself! I looked back at your comments and gotta say, your killing it girl woo yeah! Baggy clothes are the coolest by-product of this diet! When I hear folks say they lost this or that pounds, I think to myself, that's cool. That's what we're doing this for. For US not for the bathroom scales!
I love to hear people winning with their diet. I finished 3 months on Nutrisystem just before Christmas after I shrunk from a size 18 to a size 10! All that fat was gone baby and my old clothes all looked like they were made for an elephant.
I was so happy I threw a party for my friends to burn my old clothes in the yard and it was so amazing. It cost me all my meager savings to buy new clothes for this new small size body but I'm the happiest girl on my block for sure!
Oh yeah, one month later I'm still the same size and weight. I eat only fresh food that tastes great and drink plain water or herbal tea now. No more junk or soda and I feel and look totally amazing! I am on day Lost 5 lbs first several days and have not lost anything since. Major plateau and very discouraging. I am going to stick with it another month. New delivery should be today. I have stuck to the plan. Not understanding how I'm not dropping weight. My breakfast used to be calories.
Now I don't go over for the entire day for 1 month? Why am I not losing? Hope someone can please answer me. Hi Dr Cook, Thank you so much for your words of encouragement they are appreciated.
I posted it twice because I thought the first one wouldn't go through because my email address was wrong! Thanks for posting it! I am on day 4 and no soda at all! I haven't cheated once and I feel great! I can't wait to see how much weight I have lost at the end of the week! Hey Lisa, great to hear from you that you're starting with such a positive and determined attitude which is sure to get you to where you want to be.
I just saw you posted the same comment twice—I published the first one as you can see but the second is a duplicate and the system won't publish it I have safeguards to stop me accidentally publishing duplicate content to this blog. Anyway, good luck to you too and I wish you success! Hi, Sorry I just realized my email address was wrong when I sent my first reply. This is the correct one!
Hi, First let me began by saying I am 45, 5'9 and weigh lbs. I had weight loss surgery 3 years ago where my heaviest I weighed lbs and my lowest lbs. So after the surgery, 3 years later I have gained back a total of 30 lbs. I am addicted to McDonalds Cokes, I buy at least a day! Needless to say I am tired of being sluggish, overweight, jittery and grumpy!
I knew I needed to first stop the soda period! So I did that and on the same day went to Walmart and purchased 2 of the Homestyle packs so I can try it for 10 days. I just started on NS. I thought that I would have total withdrawals from having quit Soda cold turkey on day 1 but I have only had an occasional headache.
I have had gas also but that is ok. I am not hungry at all thanks to eating the 6 small meals and also that my stomach doesn't hold that much anyways. I do want to say that the food is actually very good at least all the ones I have had so far have been!
I haven't weighed myself yet because I want to be surprised and weigh at the end of the week. This is really easy to follow. I haven't exercised at all but I plan on incorporating it into my schedule. Here is to a New Me in ! I am please with the plan so far. I lost 8lbs My first week, but I think a lot was fluid from eating so much bad food before.
The first days was the hardest but I like the fact that I don't have to cook it and weigh it and count calories and figure all that out. I do not want to have to do a meal plan, I do not have time for that. I can make my family a nice dinner and still have the veggies with them and I heat mine up and we can sit all down together without me having to figure out what can I make for them that I can eat. I did the QVC deal and got the plan for less than what it would cost me to do smart ones or lean cuisine.
This is delivered to my door and for an entire month. I don't even have to shop for it. You can not beat that. The food is not the greatest but what microwave meal is. It is not the worst I have had and I am so excited over this, I feel amazing and look forward to be a long time customer. I have now lost 8. I love green beans.. I still have 13lbs I am wanting to lose Are you allowed Coffee on Nutrisystem?
I use to drink decafe coffee. I did use truvia and skim milk when I used to drink it.. I do not drink any soda at all Just want to lose the lbs.. Thanks for the encouragement, anything that will help me stay on track.
Hey Faye, that was a big drop in weight those first 5 days. A possible answer is that much of that could have been excess water weight, because believe it or not when you start to drink lots of water the body actually releases excess stored water.
It all depends on how much water weight you were carrying to begin with as it can vary a lot between people. But in any case, don't feel discouraged. It's early days into diet and your body is just balancing itself out. The pounds will continue to fall more steadily as you continue with the plan. Remember, most expert agree you should expect pounds lost per week on a low calorie diet like Nutrisystem and this is a reasonable average. Stay determined and positive and good luck with achieving your goals.
I started the program and the first 5 days I lost 7. Hey Dolly, I'm so glad you're succeeding so amazingly well and have such a positive attitude toward the program. Yes, I changed the ads since Nutrisystem have started their new promotion for already, so I had to include their new offers in my review so new visitors will get the latest information. Congrats and keep on keeping on!
Hi Dr Cook, I read this review a month ago and signed up for the core womens plan. I can't thank you enough for pointing me at Nutrisystem! I have already lost 14 pounds and ordered my second month. The food is much better than I expected from hearing some of the very negative commenters said about it. I felt a bit hungry the first few days, but I told myself it was my body telling me it was using up excess fat to make me smaller and lighter.
And it really was! After those first few days, I had no hunger issues at all and felt great. Better than great — I have so much energy now that I never had before.
I really appreciate the depth of information you provide here and I noticed you changed the ads and some of the info from Fast 5 to Turbo 10 since I last looked in. That looks real interesting but you know I will stick with my plan because it works for me and that's all I need.
Good luck and best wishes to all the others who are on this diet program! Hey Rebecca, it's always great to hear from folks that are doing this with a positive attitude and real determination to succeed like you guys. All I can say is you're going the right way and just stick with the plan and you'll be wearing even smaller size pants before you know it! I am one week shy of a month on the program.
My fiance and I are doing it together as we have gained weight together over the past two years. We are both in the lbs range.
She loves it and finds it easy to stick with. I have a harder time feeling full, but I am learning to work through that. It is nice to have the food all right there and quick.
I can cook, and cook well, however we don't always have the time to cook well. If I got home tired we'd go out. If we hadn't been grocery shopping, we'd go out or grab a quick bag of chips. So having everything quick and easy is a great thing for both of us and makes it easier to behave.
The food it hit or miss, but it is generally not THAT bad. There have only been one or two items like the doughnut that were horrible. Most of the food is pretty good and some of it I absolutely love. I can tell you that my size 26 pants are loose and my size 24's are starting to fit better. My fiance's pants are fitting her better as well. So far, we love it.
We buy canned veggies on sale to add to the dinners. The cost is high, but compared to our previous eating out, we are still saving money.
